Fostering a child’s emotional well-being along with academics will make them more productive.

I had the chance to share my opinions as a parent and former board member at a charter school recertification yesterday. One of my children, out of three still attending.

The state funds the school, so officials were interested in learning what parents thought of it. The primary factor, in my opinion, that made the school outstanding for kids was that they supported not just their academic but also foster their emotional well-being.

You find that academics are often the primary focus of schools rather than the emotional well-being of students. However, there must be a balance for a child to completely develop into a useful and productive adult.
