Do money and happiness go hand in hand? It is a widely held belief that those who are wealthy tend to be happier than those who are not.
Let’s now investigate the correlation between money and happiness.
In a global survey, participants were asked to rate their level of happiness on a scale of 1 to 10, with those living in wealthier countries generally reporting higher levels of happiness than those living in poorer ones.
According to another US study, In this study, thirty percent of individuals reported being happy but wish they had more money, and the fifty percent that reported being extremely happy had wealth. Consequently, research does indicate a correlation between money and happiness.
This study also demonstrated that after reaching a certain economic level, people’s happiness levels out. However, an increasing number of individuals are understanding that having money is not the only path to happiness. A Time poll conducted with respondents revealed that happiness is also derived from spending more time with family and friends.
