I’m glad they chose this approach. It should definitely be included in his closing argument. They need to highlight the psychological side trauma bonding, unresolved childhood issues, and how these experiences shape adult relationships and my have played a role in their connection. They should bring in an expert to explain how past trauma can influence behavior and even be weaponized in retaliation. At the end of the day, their relationship was toxic, plain and simple.
