My answer to that is, when we talk about moral character, most people think it simply means doing the right thing and that’s true. But the real test shows up in relationships. How many of us actually do the right thing there? When a relationship stops being beneficial, how do we choose to act?
Morality isn’t absolute, it shifts with circumstances. What one person sees as right, another may sees as wrong. Our daily choices aren’t about good or bad, but about picking between the lesser good and the lesser bad.
